First Aid trained Fblthp

The Pelican swooped down and carried him to a new location. It flew higher and higher until it too was lost. Both entities could no longer see the water and only saw buildings below, with a mighty kick Fblthp indicated to the Pelican that he wanted to be dropped off.

He stayed on the rooftop for a couple of days before someone went up to have a break, sneaking his way down into the building proper, he found himself in a seminar of some variety. Sneaking onto the computer he read up on some of the material discovering it to be none other than a first aid course. Adding his name into the system he was escorted to a chair beside one of EPIC's patrons Lisa Cooke. Lisa was enthusiastic enough to see the homunculus but couldn't understand his 'jabbering'.

Not wanting to get picked for any answers he hid behind a workbook but was unfortunately singled out to answer questions.... fortunately the instructor knew not how to translate his jabbering into English, so he automatically assumed all Fblthp's answers were correct!

There would be no more hiding for Fblthp that day who completed his papers and somehow passed first aid training. Despite the excitement, Lisa bid her peer, Fblthp, farewell and told him she looked forward to seeing him again at EPIC Ipswich. She then left and proceeded to head to work with her new training; unbeknownst to her, she had a passenger in her bag...

Authors Note

A huge thank you to Lisa Cooke who took Fblthp with her to work and first aid training to participate in the Lost Adventures of Fblthp blog posts. Congratulations to her also on completing her first aid training.

Your Friend and Ally,
Lachy

The website got a facelift

It has been busy busy busy behind the scenes here at EPIC Ipswich over the past fortnight. Prep work for the Benevolent Owners shared vacation, juggling the change in the store's layout, new til systems, new television menus, and becoming increasingly popular. This isn't even factoring in the change in menu, or the upcoming events planned. We have been busy and you can trust I'll give you, loyal readers, a store update once we get time. In the meantime, our website has been updated by yours truly. When I first did the original website home page I had the essential elements, with a lot of my working hours, I've been making the website more streamlined and more friendly to our bandwidth. Please note, that the game pages are still to be updated to provide you more information about what we do here. In the mean time, anticipate big things on the horizon. I saw some streaming gear in the offices.... I suspect it will have something to do with videos on the social media end.

Return of the blog

THE BLOG IS BACK IN FULL SWING! I REPEAT, THE BLOG IS BACK IN FULL SWING. For those that read the EPI-log every day, you may have noticed that I had been very very inactive posting no blog posts last week and only posting three the week before instead of the daily blogs we are all used to.  I deeply apologise. This author had a lot on his plate… I am very traumatised by the whole ordeal. Last Saturday was the first time I got to see EPIC Ipswich, moreover the outside world for 2 whole weeks. No, it was not covid, I may have wished it was.  On Saturday the 9th of December, I was at the store very late on account of the Double Masters Mega-Launch Party ( read about that here ), it was after midnight and the doors to EPIC Ipswich were shut. I hadn’t eaten much that day and so I purchased myself a chip packet to quell the rumbles – my stomach’s way of vocalising its frustration. The sound of the packets crinkles was a cacophony of music to my ears, and the smell of grease and the texture o

One Piece games now starting up before it's even released!

If you haven't read my previous article  on the release of the One Piece Card Game, you can either read it now or I can cut to the nitty gritty of it - IT IS POPULAR! So much so that every local store's super-prerelease was booked out! The original starting decks? All four of them are selling for $700 and they were just $30 each! One Piece has taken the world by storm ahead of the new live-action show/movie that's being made. To my knowledge only one other local game store is supporting One Piece Card Game ahead of the official release in December, that being said, you can now consider this our official declaration that we are doing the same. EPIC Ipswich is proud to announce we will be supporting unsanctioned One Piece game nights with our enthusiastic locals. EPIC is not selling any products, however, if you want to come in and play, our local group of players really wish to see it take off here and are happy to lend you one of their decks or alternatively EPIC will let
